Managing notifications

Notifications alert you when a device or group of devices change state.  Setting up notifications consists of the following steps:

  1. Creating one or more notification profiles. See Create a Notification Profile.
  2. Subscribing to one or more notification profiles. You can subscribe by individual device or by organization. See Subscribe to Notification Profiles.

Create a Notification Profile

You can create one or more notification profiles.

To create a Notification Profile:

  1. From the Navigation Menu, click Notifications > Profile.
  2. Click Add. The New Notification Profile dialog will walk you through the steps to create a notification profile.
  3. On the first panel, select the Organization, enter a Name (for example, VPN Gateway Notifications), select an Alert Mechanism (Email or AT&T Ticketing System), and click Next.
  4. Recipients Panel (Only shown if you selected Email for the Delivery Mechanism): Select a delivery frequency (This is how long the ARMT will take from an alert  firing to sending. If there are more notifications in this time period, they will be bundled as a single email) and select the desired recipients from the dropdown. You can also enter arbitrary email addresses. Click Next.
  5. On the next panel, select a Publisher Type (Device or Organization) and a Publisher (either a single Organization, a single Data Plan, or multiple Devices can be publishers for a single notification profile), and click Next.
  6. On the next panel, select the desired device events to which the profile will subscribe; for example, VPN Gateway Down.
  7. Click Create Profile to save the profile.
