Tunnel servers
The Tunnel Servers link provides a dropdown with two options: VIG List, and VIG Utilization Report.
VIG List
Click the Tunnel Servers > VIG List option to open the Tunnel Servers page, which displays all the known VIG and SIG tunnel endpoints that VPN Gateway devices in ARMT are connected to.
Each tunnel server is listed in the table with the following details:
- Name: The name of the tunnel server. Clicking on the name will direct the user to a page that lists details for each VPN Gateway device connected to that tunnel server.
- Devices: The number of devices connected to the tunnel server.
- IP Addresses: The number of IP addresses associated with the tunnel server. Depending on the network setup, a single tunnel server could have multiple IP addresses and physical servers pooled together that makes up the tunnel server network.
- Type: The type of tunnel server; typically either a VIG or SIG.
- Location: The listed location for the tunnel server.
VIG Utilization Report
The VIG/PNC Utilization Chart shows the utilization per VLAN on each associated VIG for a selected account. To display the VIG/PNC Utilization Chart:
- Select an account from the Select account(s)... dropdown. You can display charts for more than one account.
- Select a Range from the drop-down:
- 24 hours: For a range of 24 hours, the time interval for each data point is one hour.
- 7 days: For a range of 7 days, the time interval for each data point is one day.
- 30 days: For a range of 30 days, the time interval for each data point is one day.
- Custom: Select From and To dates to define the custom range for the report. If the custom range is 2 or fewer days, the time interval for each data point is one hour. If the custom range is over 2 days, the time interval for each data point is one day.
You can also display a more granular view of the data within a chart by clicking and dragging the mouse over the area. This will zoom into the selected area. To reset the chart after zooming, click Reset zoom.
Each chart represents the utilization statistics for a given VLAN on a single VIG. Mouse over any datapoint on the chart to display a popup window that shows the value for each of these statistics. The following statistics are included in the charts and the mouse-over window:
- Capacity: The amount of committed bandwidth (Combined Egress and Ingress) for a given VLAN on a VIG. Exceeding this can result in packet loss on this VLAN. Click on Capacity below the chart to toggle on or off the Capacity line in the chart.
- Max Egress: The maximum recorded egress (Transmitted) between the current measurement time to the next point's time on this VLAN/VIG combination. This is considered to be a high water mark. Click on Max Egress below the chart to toggle on or off the Max Egress line in the chart.
- Max Ingress: The maximum recorded ingress (Received) between the current measurement time to the next point's time on this VLAN/VIG combination. This is considered to be a high water mark. Click on Max Ingress below the chart to toggle on or off the Max Ingress line in the chart.
- Average Egress: The average recorded egress (Transmitted) from the current measurement time to the next point's time on this VLAN/VIG combination. Click on Average Egress below the chart to toggle on or off the Average Egress line in the chart.
- Average Ingress: The average recorded ingress (Received) from the current measurement time to the next point's time on this VLAN/VIG combination. Click on Average Ingress below the chart to toggle on or off the Average Ingress line in the chart.
