Reports
ARMT allows you to create a variety of device reports based on various selection criteria. The Reports feature can be selected by clicking on Reports in the menu. You are then given the choice of creating a new report or selecting from the history of old reports. Click on desired report type to create a new report.
Availability Reports
The Availability Reports panel allows you to create ad hoc reports on device availability. From the menu you can pick the selection criteria you want for the report. The items that can be selected are:
- Organization
- Device categories
- Device models
- Deployment status
- Date ranges for the report
Once everything has been selected, click Create to generate your report.
The report will be displayed using the parameters you specified. You can move the pointer across the charts to see data for a specific date. The selected data can also be exported to a CSV or Excel file for further analysis.
Bandwidth Utilization Reports
The Bandwidth Utilization Report gives bandwidth statistics for each device. In addition, you can select devices and report type from the devices list, as well as provide custom date ranges from up to 90 days prior to the current date.
Creating a Bandwidth Utilization Report
- In the menu, click Reports and select Bandwidth Utilization Report.
- Fill out the report form and click Submit.
Cellular Network Type Reports
The Cellular Network Type report creates an ad hoc report on cellular network type and the time duration that devices spent on a given network. Cellular Network Type reports are based on the events that are sent in by the devices into ARMT.
Creating a Cellular Network Type report
To create a new cellular network type report, click the Cellular Network Type link in the Reports dropdown menu of the navigation bar. From the report form, select the desired criteria for the report. The form items are described below.
- Organization: The organization that the devices are associated with. The user can also specify whether or not to include devices that belong to sub organizations of the selected organization by clicking the hierarchy icon button next to the Organization dropdown.
- Device Models: The models of devices to run the report on. Multiple device models can be selected together.
- Deployment: Select to run the report on all devices, deployed-only, or undeployed-only. For a description on deployed versus undeployed, refer to Monitoring Devices.
- From and To: The timeframe for what events are used to generate the report.
Once all the desired options are specified, click Create to generate the cellular network type report. Note that depending on the number of devices and the date ranges of the report, it may take several minutes for the report to complete. The report generation process is done in the background. You can navigate away from this page without interrupting or stopping the process, and check on the report process by going to the report History page and then clicking on the appropriate report ID.
