Service Manager configuration profiles for Legacy Cellular devices

The ARMT application allows legacy cellular devices to receive their configuration profiles from the AT&T Service Manager through ARMT itself, meaning the device does not directly send any profile queries to the Service Manager. Instead, the device request for its configuration from ARMT, which then performs a Service Manager query, parses the response, and sends the configuration to the cellular device.

NOTE: This only applies to 6200-FX and NetBridge devices.  6300-CX devices will have to get their configuration directly from ARMT.

In order for a cellular device to get its configuration from the Service Manager through the ARMT site, a profile must be provisioned for the device on a Service Manager server.  Below is the list of IP addresses the ARMT application will query for profiles.

  • 129.37.0.201
  • 32.227.12.246
  • 204.146.172.230
  • 204.146.166.107
  • 32.112.51.115
  • 32.112.50.131
  • 195.212.144.21
  • 210.88.1.199
  • 210.88.144.43
  • 129.37.0.207

If a legacy cellular device has a profile configured in Service Manager, this configuration will override any configuration profile set in ARMT for the device.  If the ARMT application does not receive a Service Manager profile for a cellular device, ARMT will instead send the configuration profile associated with the device in ARMT (if available).  For details on how to associate a configuration profile in ARMT with a device, see the next section of this guide.
