Taking devices out of service
Devices are automatically deployed when they are first connected to ARMT, which means that you will receive alerts about the device from within ARMT. You can take a deployed device out of service, which will stop the monitoring of a device. It will still appear in the ARMT tool, but it will not generate any notification alerts. This is useful when a device is being staged, if an extended downtime is going to occur, or if the device is being shipped.
To take a device out of service:
- Open the Device page.
- Click the device ID of the device.
The Device Details are displayed.
- From the Actions menu, select Undeploy.
Redeploying devices that have been taken out of service
Note: Devices are automatically deployed when they first connect to ARMT. This task only needs to be performed to redeploy a device that has previously been undeployed.
To deploy a device that has been taken out of service:
- Open the Device page.
- Click the device ID of the device.
The Device Details are displayed.
- From the Actions menu, select Deploy.
