If the user disconnects the tunnel but leaves the cellular connected, then only the tunnel automation is halted. Both tunnel and dial automation are halted if the user drops the dial or cellular connection via the VPN Gateway web interface.

If the cellular connection is disconnected for any reason other than by user request, the resulting behavior depends on the VPN Gateway tunnel automation configuration. If tunnel automation is configured, it will establish the cellular connection automatically to bring up the tunnel. If the tunnel automation setting will not result in the cellular access being brought up automatically, the VPN Gateway then examines the Initiate Dial Connection settings. If the Dial Automation settings indicate that dial or cellular access should be brought up, a connection will be established.
