SSL/ TLS Web Access

AT&T customer support organizations can remotely access the VPN Gateway web interface through a secure HTTPS connection. Customer administrators can configure if the HTTPS connection will use TLS (default) or SSL through the VPN Gateway Device Profile stored in the AT&T Administration Server. The user ID and Password used to authenticate the connection is stored in the VPN Gateway Device Profile and is randomly generated for each VPN Gateway when the Device Profile is created.

In addition, the customer can define their own user ID and Password which they can use to remotely manage the VPN Gateway.

The TLS/SSL web access provides exactly the same interface as a local web connection to the VPN Gateway.

The port on which the VPN Gateway listens for SSL traffic can be configured centrally if the default port of 443 is not considered suitable.

Support for SSLv2 and algorithms less than 128 bits have been removed, only SSLv3 and TLSv1+ are supported for https support sessions into the VPN Gateway web interface.
