Automated Ping List
This feature allows the VPN Gateway to automatically ping a list of IPv4 and IPv6 addresses specified by the AT&T Administration Server. Results are sent via an SNMP trap. If the ping was successful the latency is reported.
Each individual ping destination can have the following settings:
| SETTING | DESCRIPTION |
|---|---|
| Source Interface | This is optional and would be a VLAN or loopback IP address |
| Source Interface Number | Only required if not using the default interface |
| Testing Frequency | How often to run a ping test to this destination |
| Response Wait Time | How long to wait for a ping response |
| Alert Failure Count | How many ping failures can take place before an SNMP trap is sent (if configured to do so) |
| Send Trap When | Controls what conditions must be met before an SNMP trap is sent (failures only, successes only, or send for all tests) |
| Description | Text sent in the SNMP trap for informational purposes |
